“Imke is amazing!! She captured our family beautifully, and managed to show each person's personality in the images. With three small children I expected it to be a difficult photoshoot, but Imke was lovely and undemanding, given gentle directions at times and seizing spontaneous moments as well. We had a really nice time at the shoot and couldn't believe it when our images were ready just a few days later. The only hard part is figuring out which images to print, there are so many awesome photos!!”

"Imke photographed the birth of our son and helped us share our miracle with loved ones overseas. I didn’t have a photographer for my first two, as I had never fathomed the thought of someone photographing me birthing a baby – not sure how labour would be, cost, one more person being there, photos of me naked. However, when a hapu mama is in that zone, not much is remembered. One is not able to properly embrace the unbelievable life changing journey of giving birth. Imke’s photos of the little treasured moments between my husband and I, him and our pepi, and us as a new whanau. I strongly believe Imke's birth photography can help heal from previous traumatic births and allow a mum to celebrate the inner strength during birth. Imke helped me embrace the experience from a fresh perspective. I feel that as a society we are bred to fear giving birth which I experiences with my first. Many mums are terrified of what is to come. Having Imke capture the miracle in her creative way through her lens has enabled my husband and I to celebrate our blessed baby's birth. It has empowered me, Incredible achievement that I would not have been able to feel proud of without her photos as proof of what my husband and I were able to accomplish together. Such precious moments happen in an instant. Imke captured these moments for my husband and I to treasure forever. Such emotions we feel as parents can never be repeated. It was our son’s first breath, and Imke encapsulated the focus of such a powerful love which can never be re-enacted. She has enabled us to share our precious moments with family and friends. Imke was very prompt & professional. Her communication is excellent; Imke spent a lot of time prior to the day in order to get a clear idea of what angles, lighting, and preferences we had. She listened carefully to what we wanted, and was very in tune during the whole experience."
